Shanghai Classic Day Tours
Shanghai reads best as a set of contrasts, and the classic days are built that way: the Bund's colonial frontage facing the Pudong skyline across the river, the Ming-era Yu Garden and City God Temple inside the old town, Xintiandi's shikumen lanes, and the plane-tree streets and galleries of the former French Concession. Other departures follow the city's money instead - Lujiazui, the Shanghai Stock Exchange and the financial district - or take families to the science venues and a water town.
Every tour is private with an English-speaking guide and a private vehicle, and half-day versions of most of these routes are listed separately if you are working around a flight or a meeting.
