This peaceful day tour takes you from busy Shanghai to the picturesque Zhujiajiao Water Town, one of the best-preserved ancient towns near Shanghai. Enjoy canal views, ancient bridges, and traditional culture.

Morning: Depart from Shanghai for Zhujiajiao Water Town (about 1 hour drive). Upon arrival, take a guided walking tour. Explore the narrow ancient streets, stone bridges, and old merchant houses. Visit the Kezhi Garden and local museums to learn about the town's history. Take a relaxing rowboat ride through the canals, passing under ancient stone bridges.
Afternoon: Have a delicious lunch at a local restaurant in the town (included), featuring fresh river food and local dishes. In the afternoon, continue exploring the town at a leisurely pace. Visit small handicraft shops, watch local artisans at work, and taste specialties like green bean cake and candied fruit. Stroll along the lakefront to enjoy the peaceful scenery.
Evening: Return to Shanghai, ending your serene day trip to the water town.
