Language Immersion Progs
Language immersion here means classroom hours plus the day-to-day use of the language. Programmes combine Chinese lessons with campus life, homestay or school pairing, guided practice in markets and neighbourhoods, and cultural sessions that give students something to talk about. The Xi'an programmes run from a five-day introduction to an eleven-day integrated language and culture study tour, and the summer camp versions add themed weeks in technology, finance or imperial culture.
Levels are set on arrival and classes are taught by qualified Chinese teachers of the language. Groups of 16, 20 or 30 students travel with two accompanying teachers free of charge.
