The full name of Xi'an Primary School is Shaanxi Xi'an Primary School, founded in the 15th year of the Republic of China (1926). It serves as a provincial model experimental primary school directly under the Shaanxi Provincial Department of Education.

Its school motto is "Gratitude, Courtesy, Joyful Learning, and Thoughtful Reflection; Unity of Knowledge and Practice."

Currently, Xi'an Primary School has 108 faculty members, all of whom are fully qualified (100% compliance). Among them, there are 15 special-grade teachers, national-level key teachers, and provincial-level key teachers. Over 90% of the teachers hold a bachelor’s degree or higher. The school also boasts 2 national model teachers, 2 special-grade teachers, 3 senior high school teachers, 6 provincial-level teaching experts, and 12 municipal-level teaching experts.

A distinctive feature of Xi'an Primary School is its bilingual education program. English instruction begins in Grade 1, with 5 English classes per week plus an additional foreign teacher-led class, totaling 6 sessions weekly (each 35 minutes long). One day a week features two English classes. For Grades 1 and 2, the focus is on listening, speaking, and reading aloud. For Grades 3 and 4, the focus expands to include copying in addition to listening, speaking, and reading aloud. Similarly, Grades 5 and 6 emphasize listening, speaking, reading aloud, and copying.

Evaluations from current parents (for reference only):
(1) Currently, first-grade homework is moderate, primarily consisting of recitation and character recognition. The school’s teachers are dedicated and responsible, ensuring all homework is completed by 6:30 PM, allowing time for dinner afterward.
(2) Differences from Xinzhi School: Both schools use the same Chinese and math textbooks, but differ in English instruction. A parent of a child who attended kindergarten with my child now goes to Xinzhi School; they post short videos of their child’s English reading on Moments daily. Both schools place strong emphasis on academic rigor.
