Dayanta Primary School is a public school directly under the jurisdiction of Yanta District, featuring a large campus and advanced teaching facilities.
Located on the west side of the world-renowned Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and adjacent to the Shaanxi History Museum, Dayanta Primary School was founded in 1960. Originally named Xi’an Third Nursery Primary School, it was renamed Xi’an Yanta District Dayanta Primary School in 1980. As a directly affiliated primary school of Yanta District, it covers an area of 32,296 square meters with a construction area of 10,650 square meters. Currently, the school has 48 classes and 3,016 students.
The school currently has 140 faculty and staff members, including 36 with bachelor’s degrees, 92 with junior college degrees, and 37 senior primary school teachers. Over the years, 3 teachers have been recognized as special-grade teachers of Shaanxi Province, 8 as senior middle school teachers, 1 as an "Outstanding Education Worker of Shaanxi Province," 8 as provincial-level key teachers, 12 as municipal-level key teachers, and 2 as Xi’an Outstanding Teachers.
For many years, Dayanta Primary School has adhered to the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, developing the school through scientific research," forming a distinctive educational philosophy and unique educational style.
The school now has 2 teaching buildings, 1 science and art building, and 1 office building. It features an artificial turf playground with a 200-meter standard circular track and a paved playground, covering over 6,000 square meters. The school has established "one main building with thirty functional rooms, two gardens, and two networks."
