School Introduction
The Affiliated Primary School of Xi'an Normal University in Shaanxi Province was founded in 1908 (the 34th year of the Guangxu reign of the Qing Dynasty) and is located at No. 123 Shuyuanmen, Beilin District. Over its 115-year history, the school has undergone several changes in administrative affiliation, having been managed by provincial, municipal, and district education departments at various times. Since 1984, it has been directly under the jurisdiction of the Xi'an Municipal Bureau of Education. The school currently has 22 teaching classes, with over 970 students and 63 faculty members, more than half of whom graduated from six national key normal universities. It also serves as a training base for the "National Training Program" for primary and secondary school teachers and principals in Shaanxi Province, a research and practice base for Xi'an's primary and secondary school teachers and principals, an experimental base for school-based professional development in Xi'an, a year-round mentorship school for key teachers from the Ali region of Tibet, and a teacher output school for the Liangshan teaching support team.

Faculty: Teachers at the affiliated primary school are meticulously selected from Xi'an Normal University. Over the past decade, the school has recruited highly qualified graduates with advanced degrees, forming the most promising teaching staff. The school has established a three-tier teacher training system ("entry-level," "improvement," and "advanced"), continuously expanding the number of backbone teachers. Currently, the teaching staff has a reasonable age structure, high educational qualifications, innovative ideas, strong research capabilities, and a spirit of innovation, with an average age of 36 years.
Teaching Methods: The balanced development of the teaching staff ensures the high-quality implementation of the national curriculum, effectively promoting the all-around development of students in moral, intellectual, physical, aesthetic, and labor education. The school combines after-school services for grades one through five in Chinese, mathematics, and English with a rotating selection of extracurricular clubs every Wednesday afternoon. It also integrates after-school services with free school-level club activities, tailoring its approach to enrich students' extracurricular lives. To address the issue of excessively long school hours for primary students, the school has implemented a "green wristband" system, providing students with more opportunities for self-management and bold practice. Parent volunteers assist in the services, allowing students to fully enjoy the right to freely use the school's facilities and equipment at all times.
Evaluation: The school's teachers are young and energetic, and the teaching staff is reliable. The school has strict management and a positive learning atmosphere, making it one of the best public primary schools in the city. English classes are offered starting from the first grade, along with more than ten types of extracurricular interest courses. However, the affiliated primary school of Shaanxi Normal University primarily enrolls children of university staff, making it very difficult for children from outside to gain admission.
