This 2-day short-distance tour connects Shanghai and Wuxi, with a 1-hour high-speed rail ride, focusing on natural scenery and ancient town culture. It covers Yuantouzhu, the most beautiful spot of Taihu Lake, and Huishan Ancient Town, allowing you to enjoy the fresh air of Taihu Lake and the profound cultural heritage of Wuxi.

• Stroll Huishan Ancient Town, visit ancient temples and old houses, and experience the life of Wuxi old town

Morning: Take the high-speed rail from Shanghai to Wuxi (about 1 hour). Upon arrival, go directly to Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, which is known as the "Most Beautiful Spot of Taihu Lake" and is located at the northern end of Taihu Lake. Stroll along the lakeside path, admire the vast Taihu Lake, the green mountains in the distance, and the unique rock formations by the lake. If you visit in spring (February to March), you can also enjoy the beautiful plum blossoms all over the mountain, which is a beautiful sight.
Afternoon: Take a cruise on Taihu Lake (cruises depart regularly from the pier in Yuantouzhu Scenic Area). Sit on the cruise ship, enjoy the fresh lake breeze, watch the waves of the lake, and admire the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains on both sides. The cruise will pass by several small islands in Taihu Lake, allowing you to enjoy the natural beauty of Taihu Lake from different angles. After the cruise, you can also visit the small attractions in Yuantouzhu Scenic Area, such as the Turtle Head, the Plum Garden, and the Taihu Lake Stone Garden.
Evening: Dine at a characteristic restaurant near Taihu Lake, tasting Wuxi's famous dishes such as braised pork ribs in brown sauce (soft and glutinous, sweet and savory), Taihu Lake whitebait soup (fresh and tender, with a light taste), and osmanthus cake (sweet but not greasy, with a strong osmanthus fragrance). After dinner, walk along the Taihu Lake Lakeside Promenade, enjoy the quiet and beautiful night view of Taihu Lake, and feel the cool lake breeze, which is very comfortable.
Morning: Visit Huishan Ancient Town, a well-preserved ancient town in Wuxi with a history of more than 3,000 years. Stroll along the ancient streets paved with bluestone, visit the ancient temples (such as Huishan Temple, which has a history of more than 1,500 years), old houses, and ancestral halls, and appreciate the unique architectural style of Wuxi's ancient town. You can also browse the traditional handicraft shops on the street, such as clay figurine shops, wood carving shops, and paper-cut shops, and experience the traditional culture of Wuxi.
Afternoon: Visit a local tea house in Huishan Ancient Town, taste Wuxi's famous Biluochun tea. Biluochun tea is one of the top ten famous teas in China, with a green color, fresh fragrance, and sweet taste. Under the guidance of the tea master, learn about the brewing method of Biluochun tea, and enjoy a cup of fragrant tea with refreshments such as Wuxi steamed buns, feeling the leisurely life of Wuxi.
Evening: Before returning to Shanghai, browse the local specialty shops near the high-speed rail station, buy some Biluochun tea, osmanthus cake, and other local specialties as souvenirs. Then take the high-speed rail back to Shanghai, ending the 2-day short-distance trip full of natural scenery and ancient charm.

According to the itinerary requirements for study tours in China or venue needs for winter and summer international camps, we will arrange student dormitories on campus or hotels on campus or nearby.
