Guangzhou Theme Tours
Themed days for travellers who want one side of Guangzhou done properly. One route follows Cantonese opera, tea and traditional craft, including a workshop session; another traces Cantonese culture through the treaty-port century, when the Thirteen Factories and Shamian Island carried the city's foreign trade; and the two-day craft route stays in the arcaded old city with the shophouses and the artisan workshops that still work under them.
Each is a private departure with an English-speaking guide and a private vehicle, and the two-day versions add a hotel night. Workshop sessions must be reserved in advance.
