Guangzhou Foodie Tours
Guangzhou is the home of Cantonese cooking, and the point of these tours is to eat the way the city eats. The morning route works through yum cha - the dim sum breakfast of har gow, siu mai and rice rolls taken with tea - and then into the Cantonese kitchen; the two-day version adds the old town markets and Shamian Island; and the three-day culinary and culture journey links the food with Cantonese opera and the arcaded old city.
Guides are chosen for their knowledge of the food, and dietary requirements and allergies are passed to every kitchen in advance. Vegetarian and halal versions are arranged on request.
