This itinerary outlines a compact and efficient 2-day cultural tour in Xi'an, China. The schedule is designed to maximize your experience, starting with a direct journey from the airport to the magnificent Terracotta Army. You will explore the ancient capital's most iconic sites, including the City Wall and the Muslim Quarter, while also enjoying its vibrant nightlife and local cuisine. Mid-day:
Arrival & Meet-up: Upon your arrival at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport (XIY), our guide and driver will greet you at the arrival hall.
Direct Transfer to Lintong: You will be driven directly to the Lintong District.
Lunch (approx. 12:00):
Lunch in Lintong: Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Lintong before the tour begins.
Afternoon (approx. 13:30 - 16:00):
Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum: Immerse yourself in one of the world's most significant archaeological sites. Explore the three excavation pits containing thousands of life-sized terracotta soldiers, chariots, and horses, built for the First Emperor of China.
Late Afternoon (approx. 17:00):
Return to Xi'an City & External Visit to Giant Wild Goose Pagoda: Drive back to the city center. Stop for a photo opportunity and external view of the iconic Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, a symbol of the ancient Silk Road.
Evening:
Dinner (approx. 18:30):
Venue: Xi'an Restaurant (À la carte dining). Dinner will be à la carte. (Please note: This meal is at the guests' own expense.)
Night Tour (after dinner):
Datang Everbright City (Tang Paradise): Experience the spectacular night views of this grand cultural district. Enjoy the brilliant light displays, Tang-style architecture, and lively atmosphere that recreates the splendor of the Tang Dynasty.
Hotel Check-in (after night tour):
Transfer to Hotel: Proceed to the Sofitel Xian on Renmin Square for check-in and overnight stay.
Morning (approx. 09:00 - 12:00):
Xi'an City Wall: Visit the magnificent and well-preserved ancient city wall. You will have the opportunity to walk along the top of the wall. For those interested, bicycle riding on the wall is a highly recommended and unique way to experience this historic fortification.
Xi'an Museum: Proceed to the Xi'an Museum, located near the Small Wild Goose Pagoda. The museum houses a rich collection of artifacts that tell the 3,100-year history of the city.
Lunch (approx. 12:30):
Venue: Defachang Dumpling Restaurant. Enjoy a famous and delicious dumpling banquet, a specialty of Xi'an.
Afternoon (approx. 14:00 - 16:30):
Great Mosque in Huajue Lane: Visit this serene and historic mosque, an outstanding example of the fusion of Chinese and Islamic architectural styles.
Muslim Quarter: Explore the vibrant and bustling Muslim Quarter. Wander through the narrow streets filled with food stalls, souvenir shops, and a lively atmosphere.
Late Afternoon (16:30):
Transfer to Airport: The tour concludes. You will be transferred from the city center to Xi'an Xianyang International Airport (XIY) for your departing flight.
Evening:
Flight: Check-in for your flight departing at 19:30 to your next destination.
