A one-day theme for travellers interested in architecture and urban change. Shanghai holds one of the largest collections of Art Deco buildings in the world, and this day walks the pieces that matter - cinemas, clubs, banks and apartment towers of the 1920s and 1930s - then ends on the Bund after dark. Can be run as a half day if your schedule is tight.
Morning — Wukang Road
Start at Wukang Road, a cultural street known as the 'Boulevard of Western-style Villas,' lined with over 100 historic villas. Admire the iconic Wukang Mansion (formerly Normandie Apartments), a 1924 Art Deco landmark designed by architect Laszlo Hudec and a favorite photo spot. The plane-tree-shaded lane captures old Shanghai's elegance.
Afternoon — M50 Creative Park
Visit M50 Creative Park, converted from a former textile factory along the Suzhou Creek. Wander red-brick workshops housing over 100 galleries, design studios, and craft shops, and appreciate contemporary art, street graffiti, and creative design — the creative pulse of modern Shanghai.
Evening — French Concession Dining
Dine at a French bistro in the Former French Concession on classics such as foie gras, steak, and escargot. After dinner, stroll Anfu Road, lined with small cafes, bookstores, and boutiques, and enjoy the quiet romance of old Shanghai at night.

A: April to June and September to November bring the mildest weather and clearest light. The programme runs year round, and we adjust the daily timings in mid-summer and winter.
Q: Can you handle dietary requirements and accessibility needs?
A: Yes. Vegetarian, halal, gluten-free and allergy-aware menus are arranged when you tell us in advance. Step-free and low-mobility versions of the route can also be planned.
Q: How do we book and pay?
A: Send us your travel dates and group size for a same-day quotation. A deposit confirms the booking, the balance is due before arrival, and prices are guaranteed for 7 days.
