What sectors is the visit built around?

Your own. The company visit is matched to your sector, with electronics and semiconductor manufacturing as the local context. Tell us what you make, buy or invest in when you enquire and we will approach accordingly. The briefing that follows covers incentives, company set-up and recruitment in Western China.

Is what we discuss treated as confidential?

Yes. We do not report on the content of your meetings, and we do not introduce you to competitors without your agreement. Host companies are briefed only on your sector and your general interest. If you need a non-disclosure arrangement with a host, tell us in advance and we will put it in place.

Can we give our own presentation?

Yes. Time for your own presentation and a question-and-answer session is built into the day. Tell us the format and any equipment you need and we will arrange the room. Most visiting parties find this the most useful hour of the visit.

How many people can join?

Groups of 2 to 30 are quoted on this programme. Above roughly ten delegates we normally split into two vehicles and add a second guide. For larger delegations, tell us the number and we will re-quote with the right vehicle mix.

Is an interpreter included?

Yes. An English-speaking guide accompanies the day and interprets in the meeting as well as on the road. Host companies sometimes provide their own English-speaking staff, in which case the guide steps back to logistics. Technical translation for specialist vocabulary should be requested in advance.

Can you arrange meetings with named companies?

Yes, with notice, though confirmations depend on the company rather than on us. Give us your target list at least three weeks ahead and we will approach them and report back honestly on who has agreed. Where a named company declines, we propose an equivalent in the same sector.

Is transport included?

Yes. A private vehicle and driver for the full day, with collection and return at your hotel, is included. The zone is on the southern side of the city, so the vehicle matters for keeping the day to schedule. Meals are arranged to your preference and quoted separately.
