7-Day Yangtze Delta Business & Innovation Tour: Shanghai, Hangzhou & Suzhou

This 7-day corporate programme covers the three commercial engines of China's Yangtze Delta by high-speed rail: Shanghai, Hangzhou and Suzhou. It is built for executive delegations, management groups and trade-mission visitors of 2–30 people who want both institutional meetings and factory-floor reality, with one English-speaking guide and a private vehicle throughout.

In Shanghai you work from Lujiazui, the financial district that hosts the Shanghai Stock Exchange, and study how Pudong went from farmland to a global financial centre within a single generation. Hangzhou shifts the focus to enterprise and technology: Alibaba's Xixi campus and Damo Academy, and Hikvision in Yunqi Town, are the reference points for how China's platform and hardware companies scale. Suzhou Industrial Park closes the loop on manufacturing — one of the country's largest and most mature industrial development zones, and a working model for supply-chain and smart-manufacturing decisions.

All three cities sit within 30–60 minutes of each other by high-speed rail, so the programme keeps transit time to a minimum and leaves the working day intact. Readings are supported in English; company visits are arranged with prior introductions and are subject to the host organisations' approval.

Visa and entry. Citizens of 50 countries including Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom can enter China visa-free for up to 30 days until 31 December 2026, and short business meetings fall within the permitted purposes. Citizens of 57 countries including the United States may use 240-hour visa-free transit with an onward ticket to a third country — Shanghai Hongqiao, Shanghai Pudong and Hangzhou Xiaoshan are all approved ports. Working or taking up employment is not covered. We confirm your specific case before booking.

Company visits. Alibaba, Hikvision, the Shanghai Stock Exchange and Suzhou Industrial Park all receive visitors by appointment only, and certain sites restrict photography. Provisional programmes are confirmed 30 days before arrival; if a host cancels, an equivalent visit is substituted.

Pace. Busy but structured. Expect two to three scheduled sessions per day with working meals, plus one evening for each city.

Best season. March–May and September–November. Canton Fair and major trade exhibitions can tighten hotel availability in Guangzhou, not Shanghai; Shanghai's own exhibition calendar should be checked before fixing dates.

Day 6 transfer. After the Suzhou programme the group returns to Shanghai by high-speed rail (about 25 minutes) and stays overnight in Shanghai, so Day 7 departure is from Pudong International Airport.

Payments and connectivity. Alipay and WeChat Pay accept international Visa and Mastercard cards. Business visitors should arrange a China-ready eSIM or roaming plan before departure, as several Western platforms require a pre-installed VPN.

Yes. The programme is the default structure; sessions are tailored to your sector, and the group size range is 2 to 30.

Are company visits guaranteed?
No. All visits are by appointment and subject to host approval. We confirm the final schedule 30 days before arrival and substitute an equivalent host if necessary.

Do we need visas for a business trip to China?
For short meetings, most eligible nationalities can use the 30-day visa-free policy or 240-hour transit. Full-time work requires a work visa.

Can interpretation be arranged for non-English speakers?
Yes. French, German, Spanish, Russian and Arabic interpretation can be added on request.
