Overview

This 7-day Xi'an deep-dive explores the city, nearby Baoji, and Huxian County across history, archaeology, and landscape. It is a private classic tour for travelers who want more than the standard Terracotta-and-wall highlights.

Flagship sights include the Terracotta Army, 8,000-plus warriors buried for Qin Shi Huang and a UNESCO site since 1987, the 13.7 km Ming City Wall, and the Baoji Bronze Ware Museum holding the He zun with the earliest written 'Zhongguo'. Mount Hua and Huxian farmer painting round out the week.

Routing keeps Xi'an as a base with day trips west to Baoji and east to Mount Hua, plus a Huxian art stop, so there are no hotel moves mid-week. That logic gives a calm, in-depth week with one challenging hike and one creative village visit.

Trip Notes

Most visitors need a Chinese visa; Xi'an provides 240-hour visa-free transit with an onward ticket, and Singapore, Malaysia, Canada, Australia, and the UK have short-term visa-free entry as above.

March-May and September-November are best; summer is hot, winter cold. The week is moderate but Mount Hua is a real climb, so elders and young children should take the cable car. Wear good shoes, carry cash and mobile pay, and book 3-4 weeks ahead for a private, hotel-stable plan.
