This is a 5-day inbound study programme in Beijing for high school groups of 16 to 30 students, with two accompanying teachers travelling free of charge. The programme is built around science, engineering and heritage rather than shopping, and every day is in Beijing, so there is no inter-city travel to schedule around.
It opens on the day of arrival at the National Museum of China with a welcome Peking duck dinner, then works through the evidence in sequence: the 2008 Olympic structures and the China Science and Technology Museum on the Olympic Green, a day between the giant panda house at Beijing Zoo and the history of Chinese rail at the China Railway Museum, a full day on the Badaling Great Wall and at the Ming Tombs, and the Capital Museum before the departure transfer. A study workbook is issued to each student, and a local subject guide joins the group inside the science museum. It works equally well as a stand-alone school trip or as the Beijing module of a longer China programme.
Morning/Afternoon — Arrival & Transfer
Arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) or Beijing South Railway Station, where your private guide and driver will meet you in the arrivals hall with a name sign. A comfortable private vehicle transfers you to your hotel, and your guide assists with check-in and gives you a brief orientation to the city. Take time to rest and recover from your journey.

Supervision ratios. The programme is designed for two teachers per 16 to 30 students. Schools bringing additional staff are quoted at cost for those places, and we can supply a female staff member to accompany single-sex accommodation groups on request.
Visas. A Chinese tourist or study visa is normally required for every student and staff member, and we issue the invitation letter plus a day-by-day itinerary for the application. Individual students from the 30-day unilateral visa-free countries may be eligible to enter without a visa; the scheme is currently authorised through 31 December 2026.
Museums and reservations. Beijing's national museums require real-name advance booking and most close on Mondays. We pre-book every museum against the group passport list, and hold a substitute site in case a booking is released back to the public pool.
Health, safety and food. All students must carry travel insurance proof and any medication with a doctor's letter. We record allergies and dietary requirements in advance; Beijing hotel and restaurant kitchens handle vegetarian, halal and nut-free requests with notice.
Weather and packing. Beijing is dry and cold from December to February and hot from June to August. Students should bring a refillable water bottle, a light rain jacket and shoes suitable for the stepped walk at Badaling.
