Morning: Start your trip at Wukang Road, a famous cultural street in Shanghai known as the "Boulevard of Western-style Villas". Stroll along the road, admire more than 100 old Western-style villas of different styles, including the iconic Wukang Mansion (formerly known as the Normandie Building), which is a classic example of Art Deco architecture and a popular photo spot for tourists.
Afternoon: Visit M50 Creative Park, which is transformed from an old textile factory. Walk through the red brick workshops, browse more than 100 art galleries, design studios, and handicraft shops, appreciate various contemporary art works, street graffiti, and creative designs, and feel the strong artistic atmosphere of Shanghai.
Evening: Dine at a romantic French bistro in the French Concession, tasting authentic French dishes such as foie gras, steak, and escargot. After dinner, stroll along Anfu Road, which is lined with small cafes, bookstores, and boutiques, enjoying the quiet and romantic atmosphere of old Shanghai at night.
Morning: Take the high-speed rail from Shanghai to Hangzhou (about 1.5 hours). Upon arrival, rent a bicycle at the West Lake Scenic Area (bicycles are available for rent at multiple points around the lake) and start a leisurely ride around West Lake. Along the way, you will pass by famous scenic spots such as Broken Bridge, Bai Causeway, Solitary Hill, and Su Causeway, enjoying the beautiful scenery of the lake and mountains, and listening to the legendary stories behind each scenic spot.
Afternoon: Visit Lingyin Temple, one of the most famous Buddhist temples in China with a history of more than 1,600 years. Enter the temple, admire the ancient Buddha statues, towering ancient trees, and exquisite murals, burn incense and pray (optional), and feel the profound Buddhist culture. After visiting the temple, stroll around the Lingyin Temple Scenic Area, enjoying the quiet and natural environment.
Evening: Go to the Music Fountain Square by West Lake, watch the spectacular musical fountain show (held regularly every evening). The fountain changes various shapes with the music, accompanied by colorful lights, which is very shocking. After the show, have dinner at a characteristic restaurant near the lake, tasting Hangzhou's famous dishes such as beggar's chicken (wrapped in lotus leaves and baked in mud, with tender meat and rich flavor) and Longjing shrimp (fresh shrimp stir-fried with Longjing tea leaves, with a faint tea fragrance).
Morning: Go to Longjing Village, the hometown of Longjing tea, located at the foot of Longjing Mountain. Under the guidance of local tea farmers, enter the tea garden to pick fresh Longjing tea leaves (only available in spring), learn about the picking standards and skills of Longjing tea. Then go to a local tea house, watch the tea-making process, and taste authentic Longjing tea with refreshments such as osmanthus cake, feeling the unique charm of Hangzhou's tea culture.
Afternoon: Visit Hefang Street, an ancient commercial street in Hangzhou with a history of more than 1,000 years. Stroll along the street, browse various traditional handicraft shops (such as silk, jade, and paper-cut), snack shops (such as stinky tofu, candied hawthorns, and osmanthus cake), and experience the strong traditional cultural atmosphere. You can also buy some local specialties as souvenirs for your family and friends.
Evening: Take the high-speed rail back to Shanghai, ending the 3-day pleasant trip full of natural scenery and cultural charm.
