Overview

A five-day working programme in Guangzhou for buyers, sourcing managers and procurement delegations, structured around the 140th Canton Fair and extended with two factory and supply-chain visits. Two exhibition days, one supplier-verification day, and a private business-class vehicle at your disposal throughout.

The 140th Canton Fair runs from 15 October to 4 November 2026 at the Pazhou Complex, across roughly 1.55 million square metres of exhibition space, more than 75,000 booths and over 30,000 exhibiting companies in 54 specialised sections. It is staged in three phases: advanced manufacturing from 15 to 19 October, quality home products from 23 to 27 October, and lifestyle goods from 31 October to 4 November. The 139th session drew 314,000 overseas buyers from 220 countries and regions.

Guangzhou has been China's principal foreign-trade gateway for close to two thousand years, and the Pearl River Delta surrounding it remains the densest manufacturing cluster on earth. That proximity is the commercial reason for this itinerary: an exhibition booth shows you a sample, but a factory visit shows you the line, the quality-control regime and the real capacity behind the quotation.

Who it suits. Importers and distributors attending the Canton Fair, corporate procurement teams running supplier audits, and trade delegations who want the fair plus genuine factory access in a single week.

Frequently asked.

  • Do you arrange Canton Fair buyer badges? We prepare your application and documentation and collect the badge with you. The fair itself issues the credential, and eligibility rules are set by the fair organisers; we confirm what your nationality and business type require before you travel.

  • Can the factory visits match our industry? Yes - this is what makes the programme worth running. Tell us your product category at booking and we approach facilities that actually manufacture it. Electronics, textiles, furniture, housewares, hardware and lighting are all well represented around Guangzhou.

  • Will our Mandarin be enough? Most factory managers do not speak English fluently. Your LinkedTours guide accompanies you as interpreter and commercial facilitator on both visiting days, which is the single most useful thing we provide.

  • Can you add Shenzhen, Foshan or Dongguan? Yes, on request, subject to schedule and permits. The Greater Bay Area high-speed network puts Shenzhen about 30 minutes from Guangzhou.

  • What does the fair cost to enter? Buyer registration and badges are issued by the fair organisers, and their fees are quoted separately from this programme rather than bundled into it.

Highlights

  • Two full days at the 140th Canton Fair - roughly 1.55 million square metres, 54 specialised sections and more than 30,000 exhibitors at the Pazhou Complex, with a guide who orients you to the halls that actually match your sourcing list.

  • Two factory and supply-chain visits - behind-the-scenes access to production lines and quality-control processes in the Pearl River Delta, meeting owners and plant managers directly.

  • Interpreting at the negotiating table - your guide works as commercial interpreter during supplier discussions, not just as a translator in the vehicle.

  • Canton Fair seminars and forums - professional sessions on manufacturing trends, export regulation and market intelligence, included in the fair programme.

  • Chen Clan Ancestral Hall - the finest surviving example of Lingnan folk architecture in the city, and a genuinely useful introduction to Guangdong's merchant culture.

  • Private business-class vehicle - dedicated car and driver for the duration, with airport transfers on arrival and departure.

The coordinator records who is following up with whom and by when, and the group agrees which contacts are worth a second visit on a future trip.

Late Morning — Departure
Transfer to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport (CAN) for the flight home, or to Guangzhou South Railway Station for the high-speed service to Shenzhen, Hong Kong West Kowloon or north to Beijing, with assistance on luggage and check-in.

Trip Notes

Before you book.

  • Entry requirements. China currently grants unilateral visa-free entry to citizens of 50 countries for stays up to 30 days, and 240-hour visa-free transit to travellers from 57 countries via designated ports. Policies and eligible-country lists change, so confirm your own nationality's status with the nearest Chinese embassy or consulate before booking. We will supply a confirmed hotel booking and itinerary for any visa application.

  • Passport validity. Please ensure your passport has at least six months' validity and blank pages for entry stamps.

  • Travel insurance. The insurance included in your programme is a standard inbound travel policy at 30 CNY per person per day. We strongly recommend that you also hold a comprehensive policy covering medical evacuation and trip cancellation.

  • Paying in China. Alipay and WeChat Pay both accept international Visa and Mastercard now, and mobile payment is by far the most convenient option in shops and restaurants. Carry a small amount of cash for the rare vendor who does not accept cards, and let your bank know you are travelling.

  • Health and medication. Bring any prescription medicine in its original packaging with a copy of the prescription. If you have a food allergy, tell us at booking - we relay it in writing to every kitchen and, on the culinary elements of this programme, adjust the menu itself.

  • Weather and what to pack. Comfortable walking shoes matter more than anything else on this itinerary. Layers are useful in spring and autumn; summers are hot and humid with heavy rain, and winters in northern China are cold and dry.

  • Group size and children. This programme operates privately for any party size from the tiers shown. Travellers under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, or travel with a signed consent letter.

  • Pace and fitness. The programme involves full days of walking on uneven ground, including steps at historic sites. Tell us in advance if any member of your party has limited mobility and we will adjust the routing.

  • Changes. Site opening hours, in particular at museums and government or corporate facilities, may change at short notice. Where a named visit becomes unavailable we substitute an equivalent experience of equal or greater value and inform you before arrival.
