This is a 5-day private corporate programme across Chengdu and Chongqing, the two cities that form China's Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle, the western growth pole written into the country's 15th Five-Year Plan for 2026-2030. It is designed for executive, sourcing and management delegations of 2 to 30 people who want more than a conference room: briefings inside Chengdu's Tianfu Software Park and Hi-Tech Zone, a working session at Liangjiang New Area in Chongqing, and site access to the automotive and electronics plants that made Chongqing the country's biggest vehicle producer. Combined GDP across the two cities is approaching RMB 10 trillion, and 350 jointly financed projects were scheduled for 2026 with planned investment of RMB 499.2 billion.
Chongqing is 90 minutes from Chengdu by high-speed rail and the whole programme travels on it, so no domestic flight is needed. Every departure is private, with an English-speaking guide, a private vehicle and confirmed company visit appointments arranged against your sector.
What is Liangjiang New Area and why visit it?
Liangjiang New Area was approved in 2010 as the first national-level opening-up area in inland China and the third nationwide, after Shanghai Pudong and Tianjin Binhai. It concentrates advanced manufacturing, logistics and foreign-investment incentives on the Jialing River, and a boundary adjustment in October 2025 created Liangjiang District to match the zone footprint.
Can you arrange visits to specific companies?
Yes. Standard programmes include an automotive or electronics production line, a technology park briefing and a trading or logistics operator. Name the companies or sectors and we confirm access against their visitor calendars; where a plant cannot receive foreign groups on your dates we substitute an equivalent facility and say so in advance.
Is Chongqing a good base for manufacturing sourcing?
For automotive, EV components and electronics it is one of the strongest. Chongqing produced 2.79 million vehicles in 2025, close to half of them new-energy vehicles, and its Xiyong Micro-Electronics Industrial Park anchors a laptop and semiconductor supply cluster.
Do delegates need a Chinese business visa?
Delegates entering for meetings and factory visits normally travel on an M visa. Chongqing Jiangbei and Chengdu Shuangliu and Tianfu airports are also designated 240-hour visa-free transit ports for eligible nationalities on an onward ticket to a third country, which suits short inspection trips. We issue the invitation letter your application needs.

Enjoy a welcome dinner at a restaurant specializing in Sichuan hotpot, where your team cooks fresh ingredients at the table in bubbling broth. This interactive meal naturally encourages conversation, cooperation, and shared discovery as you navigate the array of meats, vegetables, and dipping sauces that characterize Sichuan cuisine.

Morning - Tianfu Software Park
Chengdu's hi-tech zone was established in 1988 as one of China's first national-level technology development zones, and the Tianfu Software Park that opened inside it has since filled with software, gaming, outsourcing and cloud companies. Your host walks you through the park and explains what draws firms here: engineering graduates from the city's universities, lower operating costs than the coast, and direct air links west.
Late morning - Company visit
Visit a technology or manufacturing company matched to your sector, with a short briefing and a walk through the working environment. Chengdu also anchors a substantial electronics manufacturing base, including semiconductor packaging and display production.

A business lunch in the hi-tech zone.
Afternoon - Briefing and discussion
A briefing on investment incentives, company set-up, recruitment and the practicalities of operating in Western China, followed by an open discussion and, if you wish, a session where your own team presents its plans.
Evening - Return to the city
Return to central Chengdu, with dinner in the city if you wish.

Morning — Chengdu to Chongqing by High-Speed Rail
After breakfast your guide transfers you to Chengdu East Railway Station for the high-speed service to Chongqing, roughly ninety minutes through the Sichuan Basin. The two cities form the Chengdu-Chongqing Twin-City Economic Circle, the western growth pole written into China's 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030). Afternoon — Smart Manufacturing and New Energy Vehicles
Chongqing is China's leading automotive hub: output reached 2.79 million vehicles in 2025, close to half of them new-energy vehicles. Depending on your sector, the afternoon is arranged as a factory, R&D centre or showroom visit with the production managers, covering line automation, battery and electronics supply, and domestic-plus-export pricing. Electronics and laptop assembly cluster in the Xiyong Micro-Electronics Industrial Park to the west; automotive and EV components concentrate in Liangjiang. Sector-specific site visits are confirmed against availability once your delegation profile is known.
Evening — Chongqing After Dark
Chongqing is built on the steep confluence of the Jialing and Yangtze rivers, and its night skyline is among the most striking in China. Walk the Jiefangbei CBD and the multi-level Hongya Cave complex, then dine on Chongqing hotpot, the city's signature dish — a communal pot of beef tallow and Sichuan pepper dating to the river-port kitchens of the nineteenth century.

Morning — Ciqi Kou Ancient Town
Step into Ciqi Kou, a 1,000-year-old riverside town of cobblestone alleys and Ming–Qing architecture. Browse stalls for Sichuan embroidery and porcelain, and sample snacks like maoxuewang (spicy blood-curd stew) or sticky rice cakes.
Afternoon — Liziba Monorail & Eling Park
At Liziba Station, watch the light rail pass directly through a residential high-rise—a famous feat of Chongqing's mountain-city design—from the viewing platform below. Then hike Eling Park for panoramas where the Yangtze and Jialing Rivers meet, amid gardens, pavilions, and WWII-era relics.
Evening — Hotpot Experience
Indulge in Chongqing's fiery mala hotpot, cooking duck intestine, beef tripe, and lotus root in a chili-and-Sichuan-peppercorn broth at a local favorite such as Decheng Hotpot—a quintessential culinary adventure.
Morning — Dazu or Wulong Excursion
Choose between two UNESCO sites. Option one: the Dazu Rock Carvings, 9th–13th-century Buddhist, Taoist, and Confucian stone sculptures at Baoding Mountain, including the vivid “Wheel of Life.” Option two: Wulong Karst, with the colossal limestone “Three Natural Bridges” and Furong Cave, landscapes featured in the film Transformers: Age of Extinction.
Afternoon — Return & Departure
Return to Chongqing and transfer to Jiangbei International Airport, Chongqing North Railway Station, or Chaotianmen Wharf for your next destination.

Visas and documentation. Delegates attending meetings or plant inspections normally travel on a Chinese M (business) visa, and we provide the invitation letter. Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport and Chengdu Shuangliu and Tianfu airports are designated 240-hour visa-free transit ports for eligible nationalities holding a confirmed onward ticket to a third country, which suits short inspection trips.
Visit confirmations. Company visits are subject to each host's visitor calendar. We confirm every appointment in writing at least 14 days before arrival and name any substitution before you travel; we never list a company as confirmed until the host has agreed.
Delegation profile. Please send delegate names, passport nationalities, sectors of interest and any non-disclosure requirements with the booking so site security clearances can be processed in time.
Travel and climate. Chengdu and Chongqing are humid and warm from May to September, with summer daytime temperatures above 32 degrees Celsius, and mild and damp in winter. Comfortable business-casual clothing and walking shoes are recommended for plant floors.
Payments and receipts. Deposits are settled by bank transfer against a formal invoice; Alipay and WeChat Pay accept international Visa and Mastercard for incidental spending.
