Chengdu Excursion Tours
Some of Sichuan's best days lie just outside Chengdu. The Dujiangyan irrigation system, engineered in the third century BC and still working, pairs naturally with Mount Qingcheng, the Taoist mountain in the forest above it. Leshan is a full day on its own: the Giant Buddha carved into the river cliff in the eighth century, seventy-one metres tall, best seen from the water. Two days combine all three without rushing.
All excursions are private, with your own English-speaking guide and vehicle.
