Chengdu Classic Day Tours
Chengdu's classic day begins early, because that is when the giant pandas are awake. Reach the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding before the crowds, watch the keepers set out bamboo and panda cakes, and see the cubs in the nursery when the season allows.
The rest of the day is yours to shape: Jinli Ancient Street with a Sichuan opera performance in the evening; the 2,200-year-old Dujiangyan irrigation system, still watering the Chengdu plain; or the Wuhou Shrine with Jinli and the Wide and Narrow Alleys. Each is a private day with your own guide and vehicle.
